The very funny Pete Holmes and Jamie Lee bring us this pilot for "Kid Farm," the story of Jean and Bill Engvall (not the comedian!) and their conservative Christian family of 17 children, give or take. Directed by Oren Brimer and featuring comics Matt McCarthy and Michelle Buteau, "Kid Farm" parodies TLC reality shows like "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and "17 Kids And Counting" and does it well. They nail all the hilarious awkwardness of home schooling, purity pledges, and creepy next-door youth pastors. While they constantly have to explain they're not a cult, Bill and Jean really are good parents. Really!
