'New York Nights' By James And Karla Murray Showcases NYC Through Its Neon (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Amazing Images Of New York At Night

James and Karla Murray are on a mission to protect and record New York's smaller spaces. Their first book, Store Front, made a cover star out of Ralph's Discount City (now condos), and was filled with fantastic photos of easily overlooked community landmarks. Their latest book, New York Nights ($65, Gingko Press), does the same thing for the city at night, the photos even more evocative as these small storefronts, bars and restaurants glow off the page.

What really makes the book is the research that they did on each place, speaking to the owners and collecting the memories of each place. This isn't just a photo book; this is a time capsule glowing with neon. It's a wonderful addition to the coffee table of any lover of the Big Apple.
