Former Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) railed against the NAACP, Jay-Z and others in a Facebook post Wednesday, criticize them for not speaking out about another crime like they did over Trayvon Martin's killing.
West referred to another incident in Florida that took place on July 10, where three teenagers were arrested for beating a 13-year-old student on a school bus. The Tampa Tribune reported earlier:
The victim said he encountered at least one of the suspects in a school restroom where he alleged that the suspect tried to sell drugs to him, police said.
The victim reported this to school officials, and at the end of the day, both victim and suspect rode home on the same bus, according to police. As the bus was stopping near the intersection, the three suspects started punching and kicking the victim for nearly a full minute. As he tried to crawl under the seat, the suspects kicked and stomped on him.
"Do you hear anything from Sharpton, Jackson, NAACP, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, liberal media, or Hollywood?" West wrote on Facebook after referring to the incident. "Cat got your tongues or is it that pathetic hypocrisy revealing itself once again? Y'all just make me sick."
West has criticized “race-baiters” in the past, saying in July “faux leaders” like Rev. Al Sharpton and Attorney General Eric Holder were making the Martin case a racial issue. He also slammed "the usual suspect race baiters and progressive media" in a July Facebook post, saying he's "tired of white liberals invoking the heinous memory of lynchings.”
