George Clooney's Hair In The '80s Was Magnificent (PHOTO)

It seems like George Clooney has gone through as many hairstyles as girlfriends -- well, almost.

The hunky actor helped popularize the "Caesar" haircut during his "ER" days, dabbled in the bleached-blonde look, then went a little slicker before becoming the silver fox he is today. But don't forget that Clooney started off his career with a pretty voluminous head of hair. We're talking thick, magnificent '80s curls.

In honor of the dreamboat's 52nd birthday today (May 6), we're showcasing a shot of Clooney and his curls in 1989 during a celebrity basketball game for charity. Oh, and he's wearing a muscle tee. You're welcome.
