Head Over Heels? Professional Women's Love/Hate Relationship With Their Shoes

For some, it's a love-hate story. Finola Hughes, who hosts a fashion show on the Style Network and is producing its new behind-the-scenes at MarieClaire reality series, Running in Heels, says she is often ambivalent about her relationship with her high, her sleek, her crippling shoes.

"I see [Vogue creative director] Grace Coddington in her Prada flats at fashion shows, and she's so relaxed and confident, and here I am tottering around in heels, and my confidence begins to ebb," says Hughes. "It makes me wonder, are you woman enough to feel confident in flats, or do you want to get from A to B looking as sexy as you can?"
