How To Save A Salty Soup (VIDEO)

All you need is a potato.

Ironic, isn't it? The very seasoning that makes your soup taste good can also be the one to ruin it. While salt is indispensable for many cooks, it can also be their downfall. Because while you can salvage burnt cookie or a cracked cake, you can't un-salt a dish. That is, unless the dish you've over-salted happens to be soup.

In that case, don't worry about it -- just grab a potato, peel it, slice it and let it soak in your salty soup for 15 minutes. Remove the potatoes, et voila, your soup will be less salted (those potatoes soaked it right up.) Watch the video above to see how it's done.
