Valentino Garavani, the revered Italian designer, is known for for using vibrant red in his collections. The shade, so synonymous with the creative genius, is often referred to as "Valentino red." Though Garavani retired in 2008, his successors have kept the DNA very much in tact, so much so that no runway show from the Italian house is complete without at least one show-stopping crimson dress.
