We've heard about gold leaf-topped burgers fit for a king and 23-karat gold-infused sundaes, but here's a new dish to dazzle your eyes: beer made from gold.

The glittering beverage, made by a brewery in the Czech city of Ostava, contains .018 grams of edible gold in each bottle. Don't expect to drink this lager out of your neighborhood pub-variety bottle, though -- the beer is packaged in Champagne bottles.

Named 'Re' after the Egyptian god of the sun, the beer took 18 months to develop. It won't likely be on shelves anytime soon, though. Only 500 bottles have been made so far, and only those who specially request it can get their hands on one.
