Hurtling Toward Singapore (VIDEO)

WATCH: Hurtling Toward Singapore

The Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is famous for the boat-like structure, dubbed the SkyPark, that sits atop its three towers, offering visitors panoramic views of the city. That dizzying view was obscured slightly early this month when a team of professional BASE jumpers decided to walk the plank.

The team participating in the stunt boasted, as a group, over 6,000 successful jumps. The nerve-racking element being, of course, that a jumper's first unsuccessful jump would likely be their last.

The six jumpers put on their display of gravitas as the sun rose on the first day of the year. Some flipped. Others simply fell.

On member of the team, Jeb Corliss, the former host of Discovery Channel's "Stunt Junkies," would go on to break his legs two weeks later after a jump off Cape Town's Table Mountain went awry.

Still, the Singapore stunt went off without a hitch, proving once again that there is no better way to explore a city than by throwing yourself at it.
