Joe Biden may be known for his chatty ways, but he and Jill Biden managed to stay tight-lipped about their daughter's wedding. Ashley Blazer Biden, daughter of the vice president, married Dr. Howard David Krein on Saturday in Delaware, catching most of the press off-guard.

Although we got word in advance that the ceremony was being kept a secret (the 200 guests were asked not to take photos and the Secret Service was on hand), Biden's office did issue a news release -- and a photo! -- about his daughter's weekend nuptials.

The ceremony took place at St. Joseph on the Brandywine, the church where Ashley was baptized, and was followed by a reception at the Biden residence.

Not familiar with Ashley Biden? The 30-year-old is a social worker for the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families, while her new husband is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Philadelphia.

As for the dress, Ashley kept it a secret from everyone but her maid-of-honor before Saturday's big reveal, according to DelawareOnline.com. The off-white gown featured layers of ruffled tulle around the hem and sheer straps on top. Jill, who purchased her dress at Neiman Marcus, wore fuchsia.

Congrats to the happy couple! See Ashley's dress below.
