Some time ago in a faraway place, a wizard, perhaps, thought to stuff a pumpkin with macaroni and cheese.
For this we are very grateful. The idea is masterful, and the recipe is everything one could hope for in a savory, seasonal dish. Nearly all squash, in fact, lend themselves to being baked into edible bowls. Being a bowl is the perfect job for a squash: Squash bowls simultaneously enrich meals and cut down on clean up.
