Small things can have a big impact on kids.

David Rosenman posted on Facebook about an experience he had with his 9-year-old daughter in a coffee shop earlier this week. She begged him to spend time with her one morning, so the two went to a coffee shop to talk, people watch, and bond over breakfast sandwiches. Rosenman momentarily left his seat, and when he returned, he found a note from a stranger facedown on the table in his place:

Rosenman's daughter said a woman asked her if she was with her father and left the note before swiftly leaving the shop. The note was from a teacher and read:

"I work at a school where many daughters don't have fathers, and those who do have never in their lives had him watch and listen and devote 100% of his attention to her for as long as you did on one Sunday morning. You have no idea what a gift you are giving to all the teachers who are responsible for educating her from now until she graduates."

Rosenman expressed his gratitude for the kind anonymous words from the teacher in his post. He urged other parents to "choose to be present today -- even for just a little while -- for someone you love."

You may not always receive a note of praise for it, but something as simple as spending quality time with your kid will surely leave an impression on the people around you!
