Awake Chocolate Has As Much Caffeine As A Cup Of Coffee (VIDEO)

Yet another vehicle to get that magical caffeine into your veins.

Caffeine addicts, listen up. There's a new product on the market that'll keep you alert, and it's NOT a beverage. It's chocolate. (You may want to wait for your blood pressure to settle back down before you continue reading.)

Created in Canada by founders Matt Schnarr, Dan Tzotzis, and Adam Deremo, Awake caffeinated chocolate is, thankfully, now available in the U.S. One bar of Awake contains the same amount of caffeine that's in one cup of coffee (101 mg), but that coffee must be the world's most magical coffee ever, because the makers of Awake promise that after eating one bar, you'll be "ready to take a 53-hour road trip, cram for midterms, or hike Mt. Rainier -- up and down -- in an afternoon."

HuffPost Live host Mike Sacks ate an entire bar of Awake on air -- watch the video above to see his wild-eyed reaction.

Available in milk chocolate or caramel, the product comes in bars or "bites," which are smaller, individually packaged squares. Check out what Awake has to say about itself on its company website.

You won't be using the coffee pot to make these sandwiches. These sandwiches cook up on the coffee pot burner. Just cook as you would with a pan and a stove, but in a much smaller space. (credit:Flickr: mastermaq)

In our humble opinion, this is the only thing that should be made in a coffee pot. This is how it's done:Heat cream in the coffee pot and on the burner for 15 minutes. Add broken pieces of a chocolate bar to the pot and allow to melt -- this will take roughly another 10 minutes. Stir together to combine and serve with forks and fruit. Of course you can make ramen in a coffee pot!Recipe by Kathryn Vercillo via HubPages: Put the noodles into the coffee pot. Add the spice packet to the filter where your coffee is supposed to go and you run the water through the machine just as if you were making a pot of coffee. Let the noodles sit long enough to become soft and you’ve got Ramen noodle soup that is no different than if you made it on a stovetop or in a microwave. (credit:Flickr: certifiable.nl)

This might be our favorite coffee pot recipe because it uses it in multiple ways. First, sear the chicken breast on the burner. Next, make the pesto with a coffee grinder. Finally, cook the pasta in the coffee pot like you would ramen. Mix together and serve. (credit:Flickr: thebittenword.com)
Grits(12 of15)

You can cook grits just like you would oatmeal -- minus the flavored tea bag of course. And to make it a little richer, add some butter to the pot too. (credit:Flickr: moonlightbulb)

If you can poach chicken, why couldn't you poach fish? Here's how geekosystem outlines the process: Steaks should be approximately 3/4 inches thick to ensure even cooking. Place steak in filter and run 10 cups of water through the coffeemaker. Flip steak, and run another 10 cups of water through machine. (credit:Flickr: 松林L)
