Carly Simon's Style Evolution: From Hippie Fashion To Eccentric Ensembles (PHOTOS)

Carly's Spectacularly '70s Style
|

As the first artist to win the entertainment industry's trifecta of prestigious awards--Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe--Carly Simon captivated the world with her strong voice, infectious smile and model looks. Her career began when she formed the short-lived music duo "The Simon Sisters" with older sister Lucy, but we saw her rise to solo fame with the 1973 tune "You're So Vain." But if you believe a music maven as popular as Simon wouldn't have time to be concerned with fashion, think again.

In the '70s, she embraced hippie styles with tie-dyed ensembles, kaftan tops, gladiator sandals, slouchy bags and hats. In the '80s, she opted for more form-fitting dresses and oversized jackets, even throwing a gigantic feather boa into the mix. In recent decades, while still stunning with her fit figure and bronzed complexion, Simon has worn many eccentric ensembles on the red carpet, complete with busy prints and velvet.

To celebrate Carly Simon's 67th birthday on Monday, we're taking a back at her style transformation over the years. Do you prefer her relaxed '70s threads or modern quirky outfits? Vote on all her looks in the slideshow below.
