Donald Trump praised Mitt Romney Monday on Fox News, but said yet again that he hadn't made a final decision on his 2012 plans.
"It's a great thing when you can show that you've been successful and that you've made a lot of money and that you've employed a lot of people," he said. "I actually think it’s a positive and I think that actually Mitt Romney is starting to do that. You know, at first he was a little bit hesitant about it and now he’s out there ... So I really think it's a positive."
"Newt will tell you, he was off. He did not do well. He wasn't terrible, but he certainly didn't do great, and I think Mitt Romney actually did great," he said. "I thought in those last two debates that Mitt was fantastic."
He maintained that his preference was to endorse. "I really want to endorse somebody and I'm going to be doing that over the not so distant future, and I'm going to be doing that, and if that person doesn't win, you know, we'll see what happens."

Sunday on "Face The Nation," Trump again threatened a run for president. "I love this whole thing of what Donald Trump does. It is not something I want to do. I would love to see a candidate come along who is going to go up. But if I don't see a person number one is going to win, that is tantamount, I would certainly be thinking about doing it after the show ends," he said.
"Well, I am thinking about it, Bob. We'll see what happens. This is a very critical time for this country. The country is going to hell in a handbasket. What's going on is unbelievable," he said.
