Elettra Wiedemann 'Scene' Cover Brings Model To (Slightly) Wider Audience (PHOTOS)

We're big fans of Elettra Wiedemann, the articulate and gorgeous model-slash-"food activist" who also happens to be the daughter of Isabella Rossellini and former Calvin Klein model Jonathan Wiedemann.

Despite her chic pedigree, Wiedemann is still largely unknown by those who favor, say, Us Weekly over New York Social Diary.

But that didn't stop Peter Davis, founder of the new Scene magazine, from picking Elettra for his mag's debut cover. The society publication (or "Magazine for Rich Obnoxious Jerks," as Gawker put it) will premiere this week on newsstands as well as in select Manhattan buildings (occupied, of course, by the most select residents).

In a profile by the New York Times, Davis says he has based the new magazine on the notion that these days, "society is all over New York" and not just on the Upper East Side. Hence the first issue will include Courtney Love, as well as Jennifer Aniston and her uber-downtown boyfriend, Justin Theroux.

But for the cover, Jen Aniston lost out to Wiedemann, who possesses both uptown lineage and downtown cred. She also boasts serious smarts, with an undergraduate degree in International Relations and a masters from the London School of Economics, and a strong activist impulse.

Which is all to say, in short, that we love her. See Peter Davis presenting her new cover below and click through the slideshow for some of Elettra's most stylish moments.
