This image -- which makes us snort with inappropriate laughter every time we see it -- has been around for a while. But like any meme, it always bubbles back up when a new group of people discover it.

When the photo, along with the accompanying excerpted exchange in the comments, popped up in our Facebook news feed yesterday, we had to share it.

Usually the first rule of comedy is if you have to explain the joke, it's not funny. But this seems to be the one human being on the planet who sees things the other way.

Apparently, a great deal of merriment can be derived out of understanding exactly what a joke means.
