Paris Fashion Week is underway and Day One's looks were certainly prophetic--not just in the "What's In For Next Summer" sense. The New York Times' Cathy Horyn first commented on the oddity of facial hair on the French runways:

We're so used to seeing smooth, chiseled baby faces on the runway--the Paris spring men's shows have just started--that we immediately wonder if there's a trend or a facial hair subculture that those clever designers are bringing to our attention. Of course, beards have a long history, and are associated with various religions and cultures, and it's really only been since the 1920s in western countries that men have generally preferred to be clean-shaven.

But the AP came right out and mentioned the best-dressed man from Nazareth in an article entitled "Paris Menswear Designers Break out Jesus Sandals." The writer also pointed out the popularity of robes:

Gender-bending looks ruled the spring-summer 2011 catwalk at Jean Paul Gaultier, where strapping models draped in postage-stamp-sized towels lounging in a mock hammam opened a show inspired by the androgynous style of the late French designer Yves Saint Laurent during his years in Marrakech. Post-apocalyptic androgyny -- think sleeveless Barbarella vests worn with platform stripper boots -- was the name of the game at California-born designer Rick Owens' somber show.

We've rounded up a dozen looks that seem to be Jesus-inspired. Take a look and tell us what you think.
