House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and business mogul Donald Trump played golf together in New Jersey on Tuesday, Politico reported.
Boehner stopped in New Jersey between trips to Harrisburg, Pa. and Ferndale, N.Y. as part of his annual August fundraising stint.
Boehner and Trump played a round at the real estate mogul's golf course in Bedminster, N.J., according to Politico.
Recently, Trump told the National Review that he's considering a 2016 presidential bid, insisting that more attention must be paid to China, a country he says is "ripping" the United States.
"I have a large following of people who are tired of seeing this country ripped off, and taken advantage of [by] everyone who does business with us," he said. "We used to be the smart one of the block, and now we’re the dummies on the block. They want to see me, and I want to see them.”
Last year, Trump contributed $100,000 to the Congressional Leadership Fund, a super PAC linked to Boehner.
