The One Thing We Almost Missed On The 2014 Met Gala Red Carpet

How Did We Almost Miss This At The Met Gala?
|

Well, Nicole Richie wasn't the only purple-haired lady on the 2014 Met Gala red carpet last night.

None other than Lupita Nyong'o stepped out with a purple French roll. We repeat, Lupita's strands were a deep shade of eggplant. Everyone probably missed this major hair moment because her green ensemble really took the cake in making jaws drop, so it's not a surprise that her purple-hued strands nearly surpassed our eyes.

To create this look, her stylist Ted Gibson prepped her strands with his Ultimate Shine products. Then he added pieces for the French roll, connecting the extensions with gel and hairspray.

Of course, when Lupita flaunts color she doesn't stop at one use. Makeup artist Nick Barose dressed Nyong'o's lids in Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Miss Sweetheart D (a rich violet) and layered on sheer chocolate and bordeaux lip colors for a golden finish.
