Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) questioned Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recent criticism of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, suggesting she might not be impartial in cases involving a President Trump.
Ginsburg told The New York Times she couldn’t imagine “what the country would be” if Trump were president, joking that her late husband might have said it’s “time for us to move to New Zealand.” She later called Trump “a faker.”
“He has no consistency about him,” Ginsburg told CNN. “He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego.”
Trump responded by calling on Ginsburg to apologize for her remarks, calling them “a disgrace to the court.”
Language has been changed to clarify Justice Ginsburg’s comment about moving to New Zealand.
