Martha Coakley lost her bid for governor of Massachusetts on Tuesday, Fox News and ABC News projected.

Coakley has served as the state's attorney general since 2007. She ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 2010 against Republican Scott Brown, who ran to represent New Hampshire in the Senate in this midterm election.
