Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee continued his war of words against MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews Tuesday, comparing him to actor Charlie Sheen, who has recently taken the nation by storm with a serious of unhinged, outlandish interviews.
"I really do worry about Chris," Huckabee said during an appearance on the The Dennis Prager Show, according to Politico. "I think he's not quite Charlie Sheen, but he's getting close."
While Sheen has raised eyebrows with comments about "Adonis DNA," foot-licking and general self-assurance, the source of Huckabee's ire towards Matthews appears to be comments the host made referring to the potential 2012 hopeful's stance toward Israel as one that promoted "ethnic cleansing."
Last week, Huckabee unleashed another tirade on Matthews during an appearance on the Laura Ingraham show that seemed to call the TV personality's mental health into question.
"Chris, see a doctor. Do it quickly. You're out of control. You're off your meds. You absolutely must get help, and do it today," Huckabee said. "Fewer people watch Chris Matthews than are standing in line at the hot dog stand on Sixth Avenue in New York on any given day."
