Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath of office to President Barack Obama Monday, marking the start of his second term in office.
Obama took an oath of office Sunday during a quiet ceremony in the Blue Room of the White House, with only members of his family and some members of the media in attendance. That ceremony occurred because of a Constitutional requirement that the president begins his second term by noon on Jan. 20.
A second oath of office took place Monday in front of thousands at the U.S. Capitol.
