Sometimes in life you see things that forever change you. We just watched this pastrami sandwich video from the wiz-kids over at Make Me A Sandwich, and now things just feel different. The pastrami sandwich in question comes to us from Ducks Eatery in New York City, and it manages to nail the fine dance between respecting tradition and upgrading the living hell out of something.
By watching this video, you'll be able to see that it's the best looking pastrami sandwich on earth, but how good does this sandwich taste in real life? We'll let Make Me A Sandwich co-creator Rob Serrini explain that one:
Well folks, we just ate the best sandwich. That's right, this sandwich wins. It wins all the sandwiches. I don't care if you're vegetarian, gluten free or anti-semitic, you will want to marry this sandwich and have babies with it, it's that good. Not even kidding here. We're done. This, this is the world's best sandwich.
They already had us at tender, falling apart, glistening pastrami -- then they had to go and put buttermilk-fermented cucumbers and dill on top of it and now our brains don't work anymore. If you need us, we'll be procuring a pastrami sandwich immediately.
