Sugar Plum Recipes (PHOTOS)

Don't let this summer fruit pass you by.

There's no food more iconic of the holidays than sugar plums. Even if most of us have never had one, or have the faintest idea of what they even are, we can all picture sugar plums dancing through children's heads as was illustrated by the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas." But those are not the sugar plum recipes we're talking about. Nope, we're focusing on fruit recipes made with the sweetest of plums known as the sugar plum.

It doesn't have any of that tartness that you can sometimes get in plums, and it's in season right now -- in the summer. When you get your hands on sugar plums, it's hard to resist eating them all straight away. But you should hold off, just so you can make one of these recipes below.
