'Bane Capital': Romney Photoshop Taps Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises' Villain, Goes Viral (IMAGE)

New Look Is The 'Bane' Of Romney's Existence
|

Everyone knows that this whole Bain Capital mess has Mitt Romney's presidential campaign a little tongue-tied, but the former Massachusetts governor looks positively bound and gagged in this ingenious image.

The Photoshopped image puts Romney in the costume of Bane, the villain from the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises," which opens this weekend.

It was posted to the Rocketboom blog on July 18 after surfacing on the image-sharing site Imgur, and was quickly re-blogged dozens of times.

Update: It has a Twitter account.

Interestingly, a Google search shows that the image may have first appeared on the pages of the "PJ Tatler" blog. In the original post, the author remarks that Democrats want people to think of Bain Capital as "the evil clandestine operation of a financial super villain."

Lately, it could be said that Bain is the bane of Romney's existence -- and if that pun doesn't turn your stomach a little, know that Rush Limbaugh thinks the comic book villain's name isn't coincidental.
