Many non-fashion people don't know that Anna Wintour has a boyfriend named J. Shelby Bryan. Even more are unaware that he owes the U.S. government $1.2 million in taxes.

The Telegraph reports that Bryan, a telecommunications executive and former Clinton fundraiser from Texas, has owed the IRS money for years. He's reportedly failed to keep up payments on his Texas properties and "energy companies," with missed filings totaling $1.6 million by 2006 ($400,000 of which he's since paid back).

The IRS has been "very accommodating," Bryan told The Telegraph, adding, "I would have loved to have [cleared the entire tax bill at once] -– if I had the cash I could have." But the businessman, once valued at $30 million, hit hard times about a decade ago when his company, ICG Communications Inc., entered a downward spiral. Now he is on a payment plan with the IRS.
