Cry-Off! 'Reasons My Son Is Crying' Wants YOU To Pick The Funniest Tantrum Photo

VOTE: The Best Reasons Kids Are Crying
|

One little guy desperately wanted to bring all his toys to the grocery store. Another tot was angry at her parents for not buying the “dolly” movie (better known as “Chucky”). Say hello to the finalists in the first-ever HuffPost Parents Cry-Off. We have eight strong -- and weepy -- contenders from the popular Tumblr “Reasons My Son Is Crying.”

Greg Pembroke, who created “Reasons,” originally posted only photos of his own kids’ meltdowns along with deadpan captions about why they were crying. After his site went mega-viral, his inbox exploded with submissions from other parents. (A few even sent in photos of their crying babies with world-famous celebrities.) Now, Pembroke is raising the stakes. He has selected this group of epic criers, based on the number of favorites each submission got on Tumblr -- and wants us to help crown a winner.

Here's how the Cry-Off voting will work:

  • Monday July 1 at 12:00 p.m. EST, Round One begins -- vote right now!

  • Tuesday, July 2 at 12:00 p.m. EST, Round Two begins.
  • Wednesday, July 3 at 12:00 p.m. EST, Round Three begins.
  • On Thursday, July 4 at 12:00 p.m. EST, we'll announce which crying kid has the best reason for melting down!
  • The winner will receive an awesome camera. More details about the prize can be found here. Plus, if you have a great photo and caption to contribute, Pembroke is still accepting submissions for a book that will come out in July 2014!
