Rick Santorum Wins: North Dakota Caucus Results 2012

Santorum Wins Caucus
|

Rick Santorum was projected the winner of the North Dakota caucuses by CNN.

Ron Paul had hoped for a win in the state, rallying supporters on Super Tuesday in Fargo. "If we set a standard of individual liberty, the rest of the world will notice," he said. "It's much easier to promote our cause through peaceful deeds than through war."

There had been virtually no public polling in the state, making it difficult to predict a winner.

The state awards 28 delegates, who are not technically bound by the results but will voluntarily apportion themselves to reflect the outcome.

Full results of the caucus can be seen here.
