OK, so the idea of a kids' menu isn't exactly new or exciting, but how many can boast renowned chef and healthy food advocate Alice Waters as a menu developer like Hyatt's does? Waters, of Chez Panisse fame, helped craft a three-course organic meal for kids as part of the menu. The menu was also tasted, tested and approved by kids, so there's no fear for picky eaters here. That should make this one of Mom and Dad's favorite amenities, too. (credit:Hyatt Hotels)

Crystal River, Florida is the only place in the U.S. where it's possible to legally swim with wild manatees. Check out The Plantation On Crystal River, which offers a stay and play with manatees package. There's no minimum age, but guests need to be able to swim and be calm and quiet in the water as not to scare the manatees. So, this might be better for older kids. Specialty concierges have become all the rage these days, but this might be one of the most kid-friendly. Boca Beach Club's kite concierge will amaze young ones with his unique sky show featuring the likes of a giant 30 foot lobster, a teddy bear, a sea turtle and more. He's also available to teach kids the art of kite flying on kites they can take home (Sorry, the giant lobster stays at the hotel.)Kids will also have fun "walking on water" in giant air filled balls called -- what else -- water walkers. Open Image Modal
New York has become a must-visit destination for young girls who collect American Girl dolls. And, with the American Girl package at Affinia 50 in New York City, the fun doesn't have to stop at the American Girl Place store. With the package comes an American Girl doll-sized travel bed with pillow and blanket, so she doesn't have to "sleep" in the box. (Duh, mom!) There's also access to a personal shopper at the American Girl store, plus a few other amenities (like discounts) that would probably be lost in the excitement of a new doll!Correction: A previous version of this article included Affinia Chicago as a hotel with an American Girl package. This hotel is no longer part of the Affinia group. (credit:Alamy)
