15 Things That Happen When You Piss Off A City

A few weeks ago, I decided to write an article about a city I'd recently lived in and call it "the weirdest." In just my third week on the job, I'd pissed off an entire city, and become nightly news. In case you're having another slow news week, Charlotte, this is my story.

You write a seemingly harmless post about your former city's quirks

Including a few controversial statements...

Start to get a little Twitter attention...

... then a little TV attention...

Complete with an interview on the (ridiculous) local news...

Then you become a verb...

And get mimicked (poorly)...

People will try to disprove your post...

While others give up and just write about you...

You get trolled so hard on social media...

And occasionally things get a little bit odd..

But you'll learn to put the hater shades on

And give exactly zero f*cks....(*You're)

Because ultimately, Charlotte, you know you're wonderful...

But DEFINITELY still the weirdest.
