ALERT: Baby Jogger Car Seat Adaptors Recalled

The car seat adaptor for Baby Jogger Strollers has been recalled. The adaptor bars that come in three models -- Single, Double, and Select/Vice Versa -- has been deemed unreliable, posing a fall hazard to children.

This item was sold between April 1, 2012 through September 20, 2012 from Buy Buy Baby and other juvenile retailers, and the company has received 47 accounts of the support bar failing.

The adaptors consist of U-shaped, black aluminum support bars (labeled A and B) and two black plastic adaptors that allow the support bars to attach onto the stroller.

Strollers with these adaptors have model numbers that can be found in the right-hand corner of the original package. The model numbers on the recall list are: BJ90121, BJ90221, BJ90321. Newer models with only four holes in the adapter bar have not been recalled.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission advises to discontinue use of the car seat adapter and contact Baby Jogger for free replacement support bars. Visit www.babyjogger.com for more information.
