Bill Maher Suggests George Zimmerman Serve As Mitt Romney's VP (VIDEO)

Bill Maher: George Zimmerman Should Be Romney's VP

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney still has some time to choose a running mate, but on this week's episode of "Real Time," comedian Bill Maher started the decision-making process for him.

During his "New Rules" segment, Maher gave an overview of the supposed front-runners in Romney's pool of potential VPs, including New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan and Florida Senator Marco Rubio, or, "the brother of the bride of every wedding you've ever been to."

After going over all of the obvious choices, Maher presented a truly out-of-the-box candidate for Vice President: the worst Neighborhood Watch volunteer ever, George Zimmerman.

"What about -- and hear me out -- Romney/Zimmerman 2012?" Maher suggested. "It's unorthodox, but who better than George Zimmerman to personify your campaign theme of, I think the black guy's up to no good?"

After a positive response from the audience, Maher added: "Thanks for coming around on that one."
