Late Wednesday afternoon First Lady Michelle Obama joined Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to present the State Department's Award for International Women of Courage to seven female activists. Read more about the event here.
The First Lady wore a deep purple dress and jacket, accented with a playful interpretation of a bow tie, and black kitten heels. Wednesday's dress was reminiscent of a bow-tied Thakoon dress worn by Mrs. Obama to the first presidential debate on September 26th.
