DETROIT, Michigan -- Many have criticized Michigan's recent move to follow in the steps of several other states that have enacted what is euphemistically called "right-to-work" legislation. Conservative politicians in states like Michigan have used state legislative power to enact laws that aim to cripple organized labor by making it illegal to require a worker to pay union dues.

In response to the divisive bill, RuPaul -- America's most popular drag queen -- has put forward her own legislation aimed at bringing both sides together. Her "Right-to-Work-It" Bill aims to ensure that every man, woman, and child has his/her right to be fabulous officially protected.

The bill easily made its way through the Michigan legislature and had supporters excited. However, it failed to pass through the Senate because of fears that it would infringe on senators' right to wear pleated pants and/or boat shoes.
