UPDATE: NBC confirmed to the Washington Post that the man in question is not Steve Carell. Carry on.

ORIGINAL POST: On last week's episode of "The Office," the Dunder-Mifflin gang played pub trivia at a gay bar, and in one quick shot, audiences caught a glimpse of a bar patron who looked suspiciously like Steve Carell.

Carell, who of course played the iconic bumbling boss Michael Scott for seven seasons on "The Office," left the show last year. But the New York Post brought to our attention that despite a bushy beard obscuring his face, a member of the trivia team Queerenstein Bears (it's a gay bar) looks an awful lot like Carell.

And it's not like Carell is any stranger to making interesting hair choices lately, facial or otherwise. A photo of the comedian with long golden locks, from his upcoming movie "Burt Wonderstone," was recently released.

According to the Post, NBC could not definitively say whether or not the man is Steve Carell. Click over to BuzzFeed for a video of the scene.
