Jimmy Kimmel is a huge Bob Newhart fan, and there's a good reason why. He owes the guy his life.

Speaking with Newhart on Thursday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Kimmel revealed that a "Bob Newhart Show" joke actually got him out of a dangerous situation in high school. And unlike the famous "Newhart" series finale, this wasn't a dream. It actually happened.
