Last night on "The Report" Stephen Colbert questioned New Gingrich's moral compass after Esquire's recent profile of Gingrich exposed his messy relationship problems. After cheating on his cancer-stricken wife with one woman, and then leaving that woman for a 3rd wife, Colbert is led to believe that "Newt Gingrich is so pro-marriage, he can't stop doing it."

Colbert pointed out Gingrich's recent statements defending his morality: "There's no one else who can say what I can say. It doesn't matter what I live," which Colbert interpreted as "Do as I say, Not who I do."

To better understand what Americans consider morally wrong, Colbert took to his "Moral Compass 5000 Action Center" a.k.a the touch screen he's so fond of drawing Snoopy on. Using information from a recent Gallup poll ranking moral acceptability, Colbert explored what one should do in certain hypothetical situations, whether you've been good, bad, or Snoopy.
