Have you ever wondered if you could make vinegar at home? Since most store-bought vinegars are made from wine, who's to say we can't make our own vinegar from leftover wine right in our own kitchens? It's actually really easy -- we here at Kitchen Daily were even surprised. Watch the video above to see how to make vinegar from wine. Once you taste your own homemade vinegar, you'll no longer want to buy the awful, flavorless supermarket variety.
What You'll Need
- Leftover wine
- A jar with a lid or a stopper
- About 3 months waiting time
How To Make Vinegar
Simply pour the wine into a jar. Keep it partially covered with a lid or stopper, or cover it with cheesecloth and a rubber band to keep it in place. Leave the jar out in a warm place and let it sit there undisturbed for a couple of months. Check back now and then to see how it's going -- you'll be able to smell it when it's done. And, if you leave a little bit in the jar and top it off with more wine, you'll have vinegar again in about one week.
