'Hot Mess' Burger, By Jack In The Box, Features Jumbo Beef Patty With Jalapeños

If you're still not sure what kind of decadent and gluttonous food to eat while watching the Super Bowl, Jack In The Box has got your back. The chain is launching a "Hot Mess" burger on January 31, complete with a game day ad roll-out. Although the burger's name conjures memories of Christian Sirano, the Hot Mess burger is more about culinary decadence rather than fashion disaster. The burger features a jumbo beef patty topped with jalapeños, onion rings and pepper jack cheese, served on sourdough bread.

Jack in the Box has launched a goofy ad campaign to go along with this intense burger, which involves a fictional band named "Meat Riot. Yep, its anthem is a song called "Hot Mess." The 30-second spot debuts during the Super Bowl, and the Hot Mess song will also be available on the 80’s Power Moves on Pandora (seriously) and in rotation on jukeboxes in the chain's key markets (also seriously). The chain is also serving Hot Mess potato wedges and a hot cinnamon shake, so there's plenty of hotness to go around.
