When it comes to jewelry I used to be pretty traditional--small stud earrings, a simple watch and my wedding band. Now that my style has become more daring, I am ready to try out more fashions. Not because I'm trendy per se, but because I need to get more bang for my buck out of every outfit. So, if a necklace is going to transform that button-down, I'm sold. Recently I saw a friend (and by friend, I mean Carrie Bradshaw in that classic SATC episode "The Real Me") wearing one long filigreed necklace coupled with a shorter locket-style piece, all topped off with a few strands of pearls. Now that's quite a statement, not to mention the potential for neck pain, so I'm going to stick with the vintage piece that I dug out of my grandmother's jewelry box and let it shine.
