Lindsay Lohan is showing off her latest body art. The 25-year-old actress hit the tattoo parlor to get some inspirational words inked on her rib cage.

Her message of choice? "Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife I feel like I'm in the prime of my life," lyrics from Billy Joel's 1989 hit song, "I Go to Extremes."

While going to extremes seems to be a fitting sentiment for the infamous party girl, Lohan's reasoning for the lyrics are much more positive. A source told TMZ.com, who got the photos exclusively, the words were chosen to show all that she has been through and because, "it signifies that she's focused."

Lindsay isn't the only celebrity to use body art as inspiration. Teen star Demi Lovato got a permanent reminder of strength tattooed on both her wrists earlier this year. The singer inked the words "stay" and "strong" on her wrists, to both hide her scars, thank her faithful fans and remind her to do just that -- stay strong.
