Turns out "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose" is more than just something "Friday Night Lights" fans recite to one another to establish a mutual love of the TV show.

According to the series' very own Tami Taylor, otherwise known as actress Connie Britton, the popular NBC show's mantra carries healing and inspirational powers for those going through hard times.

"It's certainly a powerful mantra," she told HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri in an interview on Tuesday. "I think it was used to great effect in the show, obviously, but I think we also saw a lot of people adopt it, including political campaigns. I've had many people who've been struggling with cancer and other illnesses tell me that it's been something that's very impactful for them -- somebody in particular who was dealing with cancer, and they had it tattooed. A lot of people have it tattooed on them."

The "Nashville" star said she too tries to live by the famous "FNL" catchphrase.

"If you think about it, and you really live by that motto, which I don't think is necessarily an easy thing to do, but I think it's a great thing to aspire to, to some degree you can't lose," she said. "Whether you lose the game or not, if you're clear and your heart is full, you're living your truest way."
