Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan were often at odds during the presidential campaign, but that didn’t stop the president-elect from singing Ryan’s praises at a recent Wisconsin rally.
“He’s like a fine wine,” Trump said of Ryan on Tuesday. “Every day goes by, I get to appreciate his genius more and more.”
Trevor Noah thinks Trump had a different reason for the analogy, as he explained on Wednesday’s “The Daily Show.”
“What he really means is that he wants to lock Ryan up in a basement for, like, 40 years.”
Still, if Ryan (R-Wis.) is comparable to a fine wine, Noah says Trump is more like “a fine meth ― just a little and you’re like, ‘What the fuck is going on!’”
