Zooey Deschanel may radiate rainbows, unicorns and multi-colored Tootsie Rolls, according to Jimmy Kimmel, but let it be known -- her niceness is just a disguise. Need proof? Listen to these harsh words she has to say about Thanksgiving food.
"Thanksgiving I love for the family togetherness. I don't love the food," she tells Kimmel. While Deschanel admits that her stance is controversial, she nonetheless launches a full-scale attack on certain much-loved foods.
"Most of it's beige or gray, which I don't find appetizing," she argues. Her rundown:
Turkey: beige
Stuffing: beige
Mashed potatoes: off-white
Pumpkin pie: orange-beige
Hasn't she learned that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover? Beige can be beautiful too!
Then, Deschanel really goes in for the kill. She refers to stuffing as "salty, wet, soggy bread." Now she's just offending carb-lovers everywhere.
We'll give her credit for her bravery on the subject of turkey though -- there can in fact be tastier poultry options out there. But hating mashed potatoes? That's the equivalent of hating Meryl Streep. It's something you just don't do.
