While it seemed like a death sentence for their relationship, Severide and Renee were determined to fight for it on "Chicago Fire." She'd accepted a position in Madrid that saw her leaving right away, while his loyalty was in Chicago. But Severide was also sidelined by a back injury. He promised to come visit her once he got himself healthy again.
They promised two months maximum, but then Severide discovered that he'd need a year to recover from his injuries. With that, he decided that he would rather move to Madrid to be with Renee than be recovering at home alone.
"Chicago Fire" is a show about firemen in Chicago, though. How can Severide be in that show while he's recovering in Madrid for a year? Would the show follow him in Madrid for that long, or will circumstance return him sooner than anticipated to the Windy City -- and maybe with Renee in tow?
Find out as "Chicago Fire" continues on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
