'Fringe' Series Finale: John Noble Says It Will Be One Of The Greatest Of All Time

"Fringe" fans might be dreading the end of the Fox series on January 18, but star John Noble, who plays Walter Bishop on "Fringe," says the series finale will hardly disappoint.

"I hope history will judge it as one of the great finales of all time. I really believe they will," Noble told TVLine.

"Fringe" has been on for five seasons and its milestone 100th episode will also serve as the series last episode. "The finale answers a lot of questions and recontextualizes the series in a great way," co-showrunner J.H. Wyman told Entertainment Weekly. "You'll understand how the characters emotionally get to where they land, and where they'll be after it's all over."

J.J. Abrams, an executive producer on "Fringe," recently said this of the series finale: "If it's not satisfying, I don't know what satisfying is."

The penultimate episode of "Fringe," titled "The Boy Must Live" airs on Friday, January 11 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox, while the two-our "Fringe" series finale airs on Friday, January 18 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
