Sometimes a dream is just a dream, but on "Modern Family" (Wed., 9 p.m. EST on ABC), Gloria was convinced that the black mouse in her dream was a portent of doom to come. Then, Manny's father (Benjamin Bratt) came for one of his impromptu and irregular visits. Could that be the omen?
Phil was convinced it had to do with his doctor's appointment. He spent the entire episode chasing down the doctor after missing a follow-up call. Meanwhile, Mitchell discovered what it's like to be a 14-year-old girl when he got petty and jealous over Cam displaying a trophy next to the first one he'd apparently ever earned.
It all culminated with the family rushing over to Phil's house, where Manny's father didn't let the fact that he's never met Claire stop him from attempting to console this nearly grieving widow.
As it turned out, though, the doctor was just interested in Phil as a real estate agent.
