Tanya Winfield had an emotional week on "The Biggest Loser," and it showed when she stood on the scale. Realizing he wasn't getting her full potential in workouts, Dolvett Quince sat down for a one-on-one. Tanya revealed that she was still harboring a lot of anger and resentment toward her mother and her entire family from her childhood.
Her mother was a drug addict, and had abused Tanya physically. And while the family knew this was going on, she said that no one intervened. She was still so angry about this, even after her mother's passing. So Dolvett came up with a task to help her get all of those feelings out. He asked her to write a letter to her mother and to her family detailing all of her feelings, and by the end of the letter, to try and be at a place where she could forgive them.
At the weigh-in, Tanya revealed that she'd written a third letter to herself, where she forgave herself for the choices she made in her life to get to this point. This could be why -- after a weight loss of zero pounds -- Dolvett used his one "Trainer's Save" on her. And so, no one went home, but Tanya took a huge step toward her own recovery.
